From Stockholm (approx. 60 minutes). Take the E4/E20 motorway to Södertälje. Continue on the E20 towards Göteborg (Gothenburg), after approx. 30 km turn off the motorway on exit 139 towards Mariefred.

From Eskilstuna (approx. 30 minutes). Take the E20 motorway towards Stockholm. After approx. 50 km turn off the motorway at exit 139 towards Mariefred.

The route Stockholm–Mariefred with S/S Mariefred runs every day except Mondays in the summer.
There is a guest harbour in Mariefred for those arriving with their own boat.

From Stockholm central station it takes approx. 40–45 minutes to Läggesta station. Take the train in the direction of Eskilstuna, Örebro. Leave the train at Läggesta station which is approx. 4 km from Mariefred. You can take a connecting bus or taxi from the station.
