Bergströmska gården community centre

TORSHÄLLA, Eskilstuna

Bergströmska gården is situated in the pittoresque older part of the small town of Torshälla. Unlike many other community centres in Sweden, the property was built where it is now and has not been moved afterwards. It is not known exactly when, but it was built somewhere between 1700 and 1750. Torshälla turns 700 years in 2017. The old part of the town is well preserved and a visit to the area is recommended to see where the genuine handicraft and mill town was born, burnt down and came back.
